5/13/2023 0 Comments Ethereal Fury by Jessica O'Gorek![]() Gemini Rising was short, though some parts of it dragged and were lacking in action. I enjoyed not knowing how things would turn out and seeing how the story would unfold in front of me. How would the strange Gemini creature meet a human girl? How would she meet him? What will their conflict be? How will it be resolved? These were the questions going through my mind while reading the book. Gemini Rising involves the same conflict, but because the creatures are unique to the paranormal genre, the conflict is unique and the solution less clear. There’s always a reason the two can’t be together and don’t mix. There are so many creatures out there and variations of the same creatures and always a reason why they can’t fall in love with a human. If you are a fan of YA paranormal romance, but you’re tired of the same plot over and over, Gemini Rising will be a surprising read for you. And one of them fell in love with a human… The Gemini were unlike typical paranormal creatures. Unfortunately, the objective was to destroy human civilizations, typically by possessing humans and wreaking havoc. The Gemini served Mother Earth on a quest to revitalize the planet and restore balance. The earth was dying thanks to the carelessness of humans. The unique plot is what kept me interested throughout the book and it was hard to put down. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I can honestly say that I’ve never read a book like it and it’s absolutely impossible to compare it to anything. Gemini Rising was probably one of the most unique YA paranormal premises that I’ve ever come across. ![]()
